It's the MarySue Litmus Test! I decided to do it on several characters from The Goldenlea and Basecraft Cirrostratus.

The Goldenlea

Duke Faol Carrick: 18 (a non-sue; a rather unremarkable character in most respects)

Captain (Sir) Balthasar Viverra: 18 (a non-sue; intelligent and valiant, but also well-restrained)

Sylvia Nightcry: 24 (borderline sue; mostly she got unfairly high scores for being both a female outlaw and a main character's love interest).

All in all, these scores are probably significantly higher in part because it is, after all, a low-fantasy epic.


Basecraft Cirrostratus

Prof. Elor Kaya: 9 (an anti-sue; he's a rather hapless, clueless character who just gets dragged in too deep).

Vinz Nivariya: 4 (total anti-sue. He's generally not directly involved in the action of the story until the very end).

Y'Lazde “Laz” Malek: 12 (a non-sue. Laz scores slightly higher because he's probably the most attractive character in the story, and a love interest).

Lt. Bram Malga: 12 (a non-sue, scoring above 10 for plot-related reasons).
